Dr Adrian Chudyk holds a dual role as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in General Practice at Keele University's School of Medicine and a GP Partner at Park Medical Center in Leek, Staffordshire. He actively participates in the Impact Accelerator Unit as a GP Champion for the STarT Back initiative, focusing on advancing stratified care approaches for musculoskeletal medicine. His academic contributions include undergraduate tutoring and training GP specialists. Key research interests span musculoskeletal medicine in primary care, healthcare IT innovations, and medical education.
His research emphasizes the development and implementation of stratified care models for musculoskeletal pain management, including the STarT MSK programme. Collaborative projects with community pharmacies (e.g., PharmOA model) explore extended roles in osteoarthritis care. Recent work evaluates cost-effectiveness of stratified approaches and vaccine co-administration strategies.
Advising and grants involve training future GPs and contributing to large-scale trials like the STarT MSK cluster RCT.
