Prof. Adriaan J. Minnaard is a Full Professor of Bio-organic Chemistry at the University of Groningen’s Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Chemical Biology. He leads the Minnaard Group, specializing in organic synthesis and catalysis with applications in tuberculosis research and renewable materials. His roles include Chair of the Department of Chemical Biology, Secretary of the H.J. Backer Foundation, and President of the Organic Chemistry Division of EuChemS. His research spans fundamental catalysis development, TB immunology collaborations, and applied diagnostics via spin-off companies funded by NWO, NIH, Gates Foundation, and industry.
