Adnan Rajib

Dr. Adnan Rajib is an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and Director of the Hydrology & Hydroinformatics Innovation (H2I) Lab. He previously held positions at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (2019-2023) and the U.S. EPA (2017-2019). His research focuses on climate resilience, hydrological modeling, and AI-driven environmental solutions.

Education: PhD in Civil Engineering from Purdue University (2017), with the Purdue Civil Engineering Outstanding Graduate Student Award and Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship.

Research Interests include flood/drought mitigation, water quality modeling, remote sensing, and nature-based solutions. His work has secured grants from NASA, NSF, DoD, USDA, and DOI, totaling over $3M in funding. Key projects include wildfire hydrology, wetland restoration, and global floodplain analysis.

Publications span Nature, Nature Scientific Data, and Environmental Research Letters. He leads the H2I Lab, collaborates with UN agencies, and advises 10+ students. Awards include Rising STARs Award (2023) and NSF CyberTraining recognitions for student achievements.

Teaching includes advanced topics in environmental engineering and dissertation supervision. Service roles include leadership in ASCE and UN UNU Sustainability Programs.
