Dr Adetunmise Dada is a Lecturer in Optics and Quantum Technology at the University of Glasgow's School of Physics and Astronomy. He organizes the School's colloquium and has held prior roles including Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow (2019-2021), Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol's Quantum Engineering Technology Labs (2016-2019), and Research Associate at Heriot-Watt University's Quantum Photonics Laboratory (2013-2016). His research focuses on experimental quantum optics, quantum photonics engineering, and quantum communication systems, particularly developing quantum-dot-based photon sources and daylight quantum communication technologies.
His academic qualifications include a PhD in experimental quantum optics and over a decade of postdoctoral experience. Research interests include high-dimensional quantum information systems, integrated photonic devices, and quantum dots for computing/communication platforms. He actively engages in public science outreach and has received multiple awards including EPSRC Impact Acceleration grants and IOP public engagement funding.
Recent work highlights include advancements in weak-value amplification for interferometry (2025), quantum-enhanced spectroscopy techniques (2025), and polarization-pure fiber designs for quantum networks (2024). His contributions span 28+ peer-reviewed publications in top journals like Physical Review Letters and Science Advances.
