Adeline CHONG Swee Ling

Adeline CHONG Swee Ling is a full-time Associate Professor of Law at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University (SMU), and currently serves as Associate Dean (Faculty Matters) since July 2025. She has been with SMU since 2007, initially as an Assistant Professor before her promotion to Associate Professor in 2012.

Research Interests:

Her primary research areas include Private International Law, Equity and Trusts, and Restitution. She is particularly focused on the intersection of restitution and private international law, currently working on a book titled Restitution in Private International Law under contract with Oxford University Press.

Her scholarly work explores comparative aspects of private law across common law and civil law jurisdictions, with a regional emphasis on Asian legal systems and Singapore's role as a hub for international commercial litigation.
