Adele Kane is the Associate Head of School (Practice Learning) at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, part of the University of Plymouth's Faculty of Health. She has served as a lecturer since 2004 and holds leadership roles such as Programme Lead for Return to Practice and Mentorship. Her responsibilities include overseeing practice learning placements and developing collaborative partnerships with NHS England and other institutions.
She is an honorary Practice Learning Fellow for NHS England, focusing on advancing Collaborative Learning in Practice across the UK and Southwest Peninsula. Currently, she leads initiatives like Long Arm Supervision Placements in Further Education colleges and chairs the SW Peninsular Preceptorship Network and National Return to Practice HEI network.
Adele’s work emphasizes nursing workforce development, particularly in supporting professionals returning to practice through structured mentorship and educational programs. Her contributions align with global health education goals, fostering practical clinical training environments.
