Adel Younis

Adel Younis is a Senior Lecturer at Halmstad University's Department of Construction & Energy Engineering within the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability. He holds a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University (2011, 2014), followed by a PhD in Civil Engineering from Qatar University (2020). Previously, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Linnaeus University's Department of Building Technology. His research focuses on sustainable construction materials, including seawater-based concrete, recycled aggregates, FRP reinforcements, and CLT buildings. He also explores structural rehabilitation techniques using advanced composites and life cycle assessment methodologies.

His studies also address structural rehabilitation via fabric-reinforced cementitious matrices and CLT building carbon footprints.
