Dr. Adeeba A. Raheem is an Associate Professor and Director of the Construction Safety Program in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where she has worked since 2014. She also serves on UTEP's President’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability and Academic Innovation Committee.
- Education: Ph.D. in Construction Management (University of Florida, 2014)
- Master’s degrees in Building Construction (2010), Environmental Engineering (2011), and Civil Engineering (2013) from University of Florida
- Certificate in Safety in Design and Construction (Harvard School of Public Health, 2012)
Research Interests focus on sustainable construction, construction safety, and digital twin technology. Her work integrates Building Information Modeling (BIM) with energy simulation tools to optimize building performance in hot/humid climates, while also exploring smart cities and transportation infrastructure through digital twin applications and electric road systems.
Recent Research Trends show emphasis on electric vehicle charging infrastructure (2024), agricultural irrigation optimization (2023), and digital twin integration in transportation systems (2022-2021). She combines system dynamics and vision-based methodologies for project management and asset inventory challenges.
