Adam V. Ratner, MD, is a Professor of Radiology at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) and holds faculty affairs responsibilities. Previously, he served as the Stewart and Marianne Reuter Endowed Professor of Medical Humanities and Clinical Professor/Deputy Chair for Strategic Development and Socioeconomics in the Department of Radiology at UT Health San Antonio. He retired from private radiology practice after nearly 20 years and co-founded The Patient Institute, a nonprofit focused on empowering patients and caregivers to navigate healthcare systems, which he currently chairs.
