Adam T. Wasilko serves as Dean of Students and Associate Vice President for Student Life at Duquesne University, overseeing student on-boarding and out-of-classroom experiences through the Center for Student Involvement and advising the Student Government Association and New Student Orientation program.
His educational credentials from Duquesne University include:
- Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology (Dissertation: An Investigation of Technology Integration through the Lens of Student-Centered Learning and TPACK)
- Master's degree in Health Management Systems
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
Dr. Wasilko's research focuses on Educational Technology and Instructional Technology, with specialization in Technology Integration in Education, Student-Centered Learning, and TPACK framework applications. His expertise is evidenced by service on the editorial board of the International Journal of Information and Communication Technology Education, where he contributes to advancing pedagogical technology discourse.
He actively mentors student leaders through advisory roles with the Student Government Association and Orientation program while serving on critical university committees including the executive retention steering committee, President’s Diversity Advisory Board, and First-Generation Students committee. His administrative leadership extends to managing the Center for Student Involvement's comprehensive portfolio encompassing Greek Life, Disability Services, Commuter Affairs, and the Brother Keating Food Pantry.
As a Spiritan Lay Associate deeply committed to Duquesne's mission, Dr. Wasilko leads co-curricular trips to Tanzania supporting Spiritan missions in East Africa and contributes scholarly work to the Spiritan Horizons Journal, including his recent article on founder Claude Poullart Des Places.
