Adam Prinkey

Adam Prinkey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering at the College of Engineering and Science, Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). His expertise lies in nonlinear degenerate parabolic partial differential equations, interface development problems, and college-level mathematics education.

Research Interests:

• Doubly degenerate nonlinear parabolic PDEs
• Interface evolution in turbulent filtration with absorption
• Numerical analysis using WENO schemes
• Mathematics education at the tertiary level

His recent work focuses on deriving short-time asymptotic formulas for interfaces arising in nonlinear double degenerate reaction–diffusion equations, with applications to turbulent polytropic filtration of gases in porous media.
