Adam Pociecha

Adam Pociecha is Associate Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where he has worked since 1988. His career spans over three decades of academic and artistic engagement in fine arts and drawing.

• Education: State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Nowy Wiśnicz; Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice (1987)

Research Interests: Pociecha specializes in contemporary drawing and graphic arts, focusing on the interplay between tradition and modernity in visual storytelling. His work explores cultural identity through exhibitions and curated projects, blending historical techniques with modern artistic expression.

Artistic Contributions: With 57 solo exhibitions and over 150 group exhibitions across Poland and internationally, Pociecha’s art is featured in collections such as the Muzeum Śląskie w Katowicach and Muzeum Ziemi Wiśnickiej. He has curated more than 10 exhibitions in Poland.
