Adam Pape is a Lecturer of Photography at Purchase College, State University of New York. Based in New York City and hailing from Smithfield, Virginia, he earned his MFA from Yale University School of Art in 2016. His work spans documentary and editorial photography, with a focus on urban environments and cultural narratives.

Research & Creative Practice: Pape’s photographic projects explore themes of placehood, identity, and social dynamics in urban spaces. His first monograph, Dyckman Haze (2018), examines atmospheric and contextual storytelling through lens-based media.
Exhibitions & Publications: Recent group exhibitions include Danziger Gallery (NYC), Ashes/Ashes Gallery (LA), Alice Austen House Triennial Deliberate Acts, and Aperture Gallery’s Delirious Cities. Dyckman Haze was widely featured in publications such as Feature Shoot, Le Monde Magazine, and PhotoDistrict News.
