Adam Mirza is Assistant Professor of Composition at Emory University. His research explores experimental and electronic music, immersive music theater, critical approaches to music technology, avant-garde aesthetics, and DIY concert organizing. He teaches courses in composition, field recording, acousmatic music, live electronics, and music with video.
He has collaborated with ensembles including International Contemporary Ensemble and JACK Quartet, produced over 40 concerts through new music organization Amp, and secured NEA funding for the 'Pairings' series. Doctoral research involved archival work at Stockhausen Foundation, British Library, and Paul Sacher Archive.
