Professor Adam Glaser is a clinician-researcher at the University of Leeds, holding the position of Professor of Paediatric Oncology and Late Effects. He combines clinical work as a paediatric oncologist with research focused on child health outcomes, late effects of cancer treatments, and reproductive health in cancer patients. His roles include Director of CHORAL (Child Health Outcomes Research at Leeds), Medical Director of the UK's largest population-based register of cancer in young people, and Clinical Lead for Leeds Children's Clinical Research Facility.
He has secured over £10 million in grants, including a £5M Leeds Hospitals Charity investment for CHORAL (2023-28) and a £2.1M Prostate Cancer UK grant (2014-19). His work has shaped national policies on cancer survivorship and fertility preservation. He supervises postgraduate students and examines PhDs internationally.
Key affiliations include the Cancer Survivor Intelligence Group and Leeds Institute of Medical Research. His research addresses lived experiences of young people with sickle cell disorders, bladder cancer outcomes, and the impact of cancer comorbidities on healthcare systems.
