Ellen Ruud is a Professor II in the Division of Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the University of Oslo’s Faculty of Medicine. Her work focuses on late effects and quality of life in childhood/adolescent cancer survivors, with emphasis on physical activity, neurocognitive outcomes, and transition care. She leads the PACCS and NOR-CAYACS studies, examining long-term health impacts of cancer treatments.
Key research areas include: pediatric oncology survivorship, post-treatment rehabilitation, and psychosocial challenges faced by survivors. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across Norway, publishing extensively in journals like Journal of Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology and Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.
