Adam Day is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King's College London's Centre for Grand Strategy and Department of War Studies, and Head of Programmes at the UN University’s Centre for Policy Research. He holds affiliations with the Conflict, Security and Development Research Group (CSDRG) and contributes to teaching, policy advising, and research activities related to conflict resolution and global security.
His research focuses on hybrid conflict dynamics, UN peace operations, climate change impacts on conflict prevention, and transitional governance frameworks. He has extensive field experience in UN missions across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Middle East, Sudan/South Sudan, and UN Headquarters.
His publications (2018–2020) analyze UN legal roles, hybrid peace processes, and climate-security intersections. He earned his PhD in 2020 under Prof. Mats Berdal’s supervision via the Leverhulme Doctoral Scholarship, exploring post-Western world visions in global strategy.
Awarded the Leverhulme Scholarship, his work bridges academia and practice through multidisciplinary approaches to grand strategy and security studies.
