Adam Baker is a Lecturer in Property Law at the University of Leeds, School of Law. He previously served as a Teaching Fellow in Business Law and held roles such as LL.B Programme Leader and Academic Assessment Lead. His research focuses on land law, equity and trusts, tort law, and cross-jurisdictional comparisons, with recent work addressing land contracts, registration systems, commercial property conflicts, and equalities in property law. He contributed to Roger Smith’s Property Law (11th ed, 2024), authoring its first update in 2025.
Professional memberships include the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple and Fellow of Advance HE. He teaches Land Law as module leader and contributes to property law and trusts courses. He is affiliated with the Centre for Business Law and Practice, supervising postgraduate research in related fields.
His research outputs explore topics like possessory licenses, land registration legal interpretations, and commercial property agency ethics. He advocates for equitable property law frameworks and insolvency-related property disputes.
