Adaline Ng is a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the School of Social and Health Sciences, James Cook University (Singapore). She joined JCU in January 2016, contributing to postgraduate and undergraduate psychology programs, clinical supervision for trainees, and research guidance. Her work extends to private-sector psychological interventions for adults.
Previously, she served as Head of Psychological Services in the Singapore Prison Service (SPS), managing assessment and intervention services for staff and offenders. She advised on policies related to psychological/behavioral management, provided cross-ministry consultations, and led a team of psychologists.
Her expertise includes intelligence testing, cognitive/memory assessments, personality evaluations, and evidence-based tools for criminal behavior analysis. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Schema-Focused Therapy, addressing issues like domestic violence, substance use, and theft-related behavioral problems.
Research focuses on addiction, criminal behaviors, personality disorders, and early maladaptive schemas. Her 2015 publication explores borderline personality disorder through a Singaporean clinical lens.
