Carine Liew is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore (NUS). She is a registered psychologist, approved Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists, and active member of the Singapore Psychological Society.
Education:
- Master of Clinical Psychology (M.ClinPsych.) from University of Melbourne and National University of Singapore
- Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) from Monash University
Her research centers on Psychopathology and Developmental Psychology, with specialized expertise in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders across pediatric populations and Borderline Personality Disorder in adult cohorts. Clinical work spans developmental disorders in children under six, behavioral interventions, and socio-emotional difficulties through evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and schema therapy.
Publication analysis reveals consistent focus on clinical applications in neuropsychology and rehabilitation, exemplified by her 2015 driving assessment study which bridges traumatic brain injury outcomes with real-world functional capacity evaluation.
She provides clinical supervision to NUS psychology students and is certified in Signposts Parent Training and Circle of Security Parenting programs. Her institutional contributions include foundational work establishing Singapore's inaugural paediatric OCD clinic during her tenure at the Institute of Mental Health.
