Adalgisa Giorgio

Adalgisa Giorgio holds the title of Honorary Academic within the Politics, Languages & International Studies School. She also served as an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Modern Languages Research (2016-2021). Her research focuses on Italian women's writing (20th/21st centuries), post-war Neapolitan literature, and Italian migration narratives to New Zealand. Key themes include feminist theory, gender studies, and diaspora experiences. Giorgio's work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals addressing cultural inclusivity and social justice.

Her publications explore hybrid identities in multicultural contexts, such as Māori-Italian narratives, and critically analyze prominent authors like Elena Ferrante.
