Prof. Abraham Kribus is a faculty member at the Fleischman Faculty of Engineering, Tel Aviv University, within the School of Mechanical Engineering. He holds a B.Sc. from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. from Cornell University in Mechanical Engineering, followed by post-doctoral work at the Weizmann Institute.
His research focuses on renewable energy systems, including solar energy conversion through thermal, photovoltaic, and thermionic processes; solar concentrators; thermodynamics; heat transfer in energy conversion; and energy storage technologies. He has contributed to over 200 publications and patents.
Prof. Kribus has served in leadership roles, including Head of the Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer Department and Head of the M.Sc. program at the Porter School of Environmental Studies. He has consulted for companies globally and co-founded startups in Israel and the U.S.
