Abigail L. Liberty

Abigail Liberty serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she also holds a WHRH fellowship in Complex Family Planning. Her clinical practice encompasses comprehensive OB/GYN care with specialized expertise in reproductive healthcare services.

Dr. Liberty earned her M.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2017 and an MSPH from the University of North Carolina. She completed her OB/GYN residency and Complex Family Planning fellowship at OHSU, concluding her fellowship in 2024. Her academic journey reflects deep integration within OHSU's medical training ecosystem.

Her research focuses on expanding access to critical women's health services through three interconnected pillars: full-spectrum family planning initiatives, innovative contraception delivery models, and specialized care protocols for high-BMI obstetric patients. She actively bridges clinical practice and community health by partnering with local organizations to address healthcare access barriers, particularly emphasizing postpartum HPV vaccination strategies and intrapartum management for obese patients.
