Abigail Bline serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities. She maintains dual affiliations with the Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute (jointly operated with Bouvé College of Health Sciences) and the Silent Spring Institute's PFAS Project Lab.
Her educational foundation includes a PhD in Molecular Toxicology from the University of California Los Angeles (2022). Dr. Bline's research examines health consequences of environmental chemical exposures, with particular focus on PFAS contamination pathways and mitigation strategies across individual, community, and policy domains. Her interdisciplinary work bridges environmental science, toxicology, and public health frameworks within the context of sustainability and resilience initiatives.
Key research partnerships include collaborations with University Distinguished Professor Phil Brown (Director of the Social Science Environmental Health Research Institute), Professor Linda Blum, and Professor Emeritus Michael Brown in the Sociology department. Her current investigations center on translating environmental health research into actionable community interventions and policy recommendations.
