Abigail Bachelor is an Adjunct Professor of Harp in the School of Music at The Ohio State University. She is affiliated with the Timashev Family Music Building and holds offices in Weigel Hall. She performs extensively with orchestras such as the Columbus Symphony, Ohio University’s Wind Symphony, and the New Albany Symphony Orchestra, serving as principal harpist in multiple ensembles.
Abigail earned a Bachelor of Music (BM) from the Royal Conservatory of Music (2020) and a Master of Music (MM) from the Manhattan School of Music (2022). Her mentors include internationally renowned harpists Judy Loman and Mariko Anraku.
Her expertise spans harp performance, orchestral collaboration, and chamber music. Notable achievements include prestigious competition placements (e.g., American Harp Society National Competition, Young Artist International Harp Competition) and performances at venues like Carnegie Hall and the White House. Abigail’s career includes freelance work across genres, from symphony orchestras to private events. She has premiered works like Mårten Jansson’s Requiem Novum and collaborated with groups such as ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and Vox Choirs.
