Abhishek Ramchandani is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa's Shidler College of Business. He holds a PhD, MS, and BBA from The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on corporate governance and contract theory, employing analytical models to explore topics like board governance, transparency, and incentive structures. He teaches courses in managerial accounting (ACC 200, ACC 465B), accounting theory (ACC 616), and has been recognized for teaching excellence with awards such as 'Masters in Accounting Professor of the Semester' (2023, 2024). His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications, emphasizing real-world implications of accounting practices.
Education: PhD in Accounting (2023) and MS (n/a), BBA (n/a) from The University of Texas at Austin, advised by Prof. Volker Laux.
Research interests include corporate governance mechanisms, contractual incentives, and managerial disclosure strategies. His recent publications examine board misreporting, transparency-firm fit, and employer assessment disclosures.
