Abdulmotaleb El Saddik is a University Research Chair and Professor at the University of Ottawa's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He holds prestigious fellowships including Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Canadian Academy of Engineering, Engineering Institute of Canada, and IEEE Fellow. He directs two research laboratories: the Multimedia Communications Research Laboratory (MCRLab) and the Distributed & Collaborative Virtual Environments Research Laboratory (DISCOVER).
Research Interests: His work focuses on multimedia computing, communications, and applications. This includes advanced multimedia systems design, network architectures, and innovative applications of multimedia technologies. His research bridges theoretical foundations with practical implementations in telecommunications and computer engineering.
