Abdul-Hamid Zureick is a Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials. He holds a BCE from Tishreen University (1978), and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1982 and 1985).
His research focuses on high-performance fiber-reinforced polymer composites, structural stability, steel structures, bridge systems, and anisotropic elasticity. Notable contributions include pioneering AASHTO Guide Specifications for FRP systems in bridge repair (2012) through NCHRP Project 10-73.
