Abdollah Farsoni

Abdollah (Abi) Farsoni is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at Oregon State University's College of Engineering. He has been affiliated with Oregon State since 2006. His research spans nuclear detection systems, radiological environmental monitoring, and nonproliferation, with a focus on homeland security and atmospheric sensing technologies.

Professional Experience:

• Prior to Oregon State, he served as a radiation physicist at the Esfahan Nuclear Technology Center (ENTC) from 1992–2000.
• He leads the Radiation Detection Group and collaborates with institutions like the University of Michigan on nuclear nonproliferation initiatives.
