Dr. Aashish Srivastava is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Business Law and Taxation, Monash Business School. He holds a PhD from Monash University on electronic signatures, published as a Springer book. His expertise spans law and technology, with a focus on cybersecurity, e-commerce, and legal issues in cyberbullying/hazing.
Education: Bachelor of Science, LLB, and Cyber Law Diploma from India; PhD in Electronic Signatures (Monash University).
Research Interests: Explores intersections of technology and legal frameworks, including AI, blockchain-based credentials, digital signatures, and platform responsibilities. Recent work includes analyzing electronic signatures in voter registration (Georgia, USA) and cross-jurisdictional approaches to hazing.
Grants & Projects: Secured DFAT grants for blockchain credential systems research and Monash University grants for e-commerce/AI studies. Active in 3 projects (2016–2026) addressing digital signature validity, financial sector challenges, and ethical frameworks for blockchain.
Expertise: Served as an expert witness for Georgia’s legal case on electronic signatures. Teaches commercial law, marketing law, and IT law at Monash since 2013.
