Aarti RAMASWAMI

Aarti RAMASWAMI is a Professor at ESSEC Business School, with academic leadership roles including Deputy Director General for pre-experience programs (2022–2025) and Deputy Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific (2018–2022). She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the Kelley School of Business, United States, and earlier degrees from the University of Mumbai, India. Her research focuses on cross-cultural mentoring dynamics, emotional intelligence in career success, and CSR perceptions in global contexts.

Key research interests include the role of cultural variables (e.g., power distance, collectivism) in mentoring relationships, the impact of emotional intelligence on salary trajectories, and ethical leadership. She has published extensively in journals like Human Resource Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and International Journal of Cross Cultural Management.

RAMASWAMI’s work bridges organizational behavior and HR practices across cultures, emphasizing gender and cultural barriers in leadership. She co-directed a doctoral thesis on proactive work behaviors and has served on panels for cross-cultural research initiatives. Current research explores diversity and inclusion frameworks, leveraging her global academic and administrative experience.
