Dr Aaron Winter serves as Senior Lecturer in Sociology (Race and Anti-Racism) and Director of the Centre for Alternatives to Social and Economic Inequalities (CASEI) at Lancaster University since 2022. Previously affiliated with University of Brighton, University of Sussex, Abertay University, and University of East London, his work focuses on far-right extremism, racism, and counterterrorism.

Awards include Research Impact (2022) and Dean's Engagement Prize (2025).
Winter supervises PhD topics in racism, fascist movements, and digital extremism. His media engagement reaches BBC, Guardian, Washington Post, and Wired. Current projects examine AI's role in radicalization and electoral discourse analysis.
