Aaron Cinzori is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Hop College. He joined Hope College in fall 2001 after teaching at Allegheny College from 1998 to 2001. He served as Department Chair from 2010–2018 and directs the department's Actuarial Preparation Program.
- Ph.D., Mathematics, Michigan State University, 1998
- M.A., Mathematics, Michigan State University, 1993
- B.A./B.S., English and Mathematics, Michigan State University, 1990
His research spans pure mathematics, focusing on properties of piece-wise linear spirals, and applied mathematics in ill-posed problems—a field addressing mathematical foundations for technologies like CAT scanners and temperature probes. His work integrates linear algebra, infinite series, and complex analysis, with recent emphasis on theoretical explorations.
He has mentored students presenting at conferences including the American Mathematical Society, Mathematical Association of America, and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. His research draws on methodologies from numerical analysis and differential equations.

Prior to academia, he worked as a commodities analyst. Outside work, he enjoys board games, cycling, reading, and singing in his church choir.
