Prof. Arif Aytekin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Service, Manavgat Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at Akdeniz University. He holds managerial roles as Vice Dean and Head of the Department. His academic journey includes a Doctorate in Sociology from Suleyman Demirel University (2013), and earlier degrees from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
Research interests focus on sociology, social sciences, and interdisciplinary studies in tourism sustainability, cultural preservation, and modernization processes. Notable areas include environmental education’s role in tourism, cultural identity in Ottoman-Turkish history, and global discourses in literature.
