Professor Abdullah Kablan is a distinguished academic at Gaziantep University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, where he has served as a Professor since 2020. Previously holding positions as Associate Professor (2015-2020) and Doctor Lecturer (2009-2015), his academic journey began with research assistant roles at both Gaziantep University and Mersin University.
Dr. Kablan earned his PhD in Mathematics from Mersin University (2004-2008), Master's degree from Gaziantep University (2000-2003), and undergraduate degree from the same institution (1996-2000). His educational background laid the foundation for his expertise in advanced mathematical analysis.
Specializing in Sturm-Liouville theory, spectral analysis, and differential equations with discontinuities, Professor Kablan's research focuses on fractional calculus, inverse spectral problems, and mathematical physics applications. His work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical applications in physics and engineering through rigorous analysis of differential operators with delta interactions and transmission conditions.
His publication record shows consistent high-impact research output spanning from 2009 to 2025, with a clear trend toward increasingly sophisticated problems involving fractional operators, multi-interval systems, and advanced spectral theory. The articles demonstrate progression from fundamental Sturm-Liouville problems to cutting-edge research on fractional Dirac systems and eigenparameter-dependent boundary conditions.
Professor Kablan has successfully supervised 22 graduate students (2 doctorates and 20 master's theses), demonstrating his commitment to academic mentorship and the development of next-generation mathematicians. His research project on Sturm-Liouville operators with periodic coefficients was completed in 2020.
Teaching a comprehensive range of courses including Differential Equations (in both Turkish and English), Calculus, and Numerical Analysis, he has maintained an active teaching schedule throughout his career, contributing significantly to mathematics education at Gaziantep University.
