A. Genescà

**Roles & Affiliations:** A. Genescà holds a PhD in Sciences from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and has served as Profesora Titular (Associate Professor) at UAB from 1994 to 2011. She has led and contributed to 17 research projects, including the 'Chromatin bridge resolution and generation of unstable genomes' (2020–2024). Her work addresses genome integrity, DNA damage, and cancer mechanisms.

**Research Interests:** Focus on genome stability, chromosomal abnormalities, telomere biology, and DNA repair mechanisms. Her studies explore how defects in nuclear envelope dynamics and chromosome bridges contribute to genomic instability in cancer.

**Projects & Awards:** Principal Investigator in projects funded by the European Commission and Fundació La Marató de TV3. Recognized with Becaria FPI and Becaria CAICYT fellowships.

**Advising & Grants:** Supervised 12 theses and contributed to collaborative cancer research networks (ISCIII grants).

**Labs & Teams:** Leads the Genome Integrity and Reproductive Biology lab at UAB, collaborating with teams on chromosome dynamics and radiation effects.
