Norwegian University of Science And Technologyمعرفی
Dr. Øystein Dahl is Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He holds MSc and PhD degrees in Physical Electronics from NTNU. His expertise encompasses thin film characterization techniques including scanning probe microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Auger electron spectroscopy.
Research Focus: Dr. Dahl's work centers on electronic properties of thin films, with emphasis on dielectric/ferroelectric characterization and photovoltaic systems. Recent projects investigate interfacial phenomena in energy materials, particularly for battery electrodes and photoelectrochemical water splitting catalysts. Methodologies include advanced spectroscopy and nanoscale device fabrication.
Publication Trends: Articles demonstrate strong experimental focus on materials characterization for energy applications. Recent collaborations examine high-entropy alloy films and interfacial engineering of battery cathodes. Work appears in interdisciplinary journals including ACS Catalysis and Thin Solid Films.
Teaching: Instructs courses in Nanoscale Device Technology (TFE4240), Solar Cells and Photovoltaic Nanostructures (TMT4322), and Advanced Experimental Physics (FY8504). Supervises graduate students in electronic materials research.
