Ömer Ergün is a PhD candidate in the Organizational Behavior research group at Utrecht University's Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, conducting research under the supervision of Dr. Félice van Nunspeet, Prof. Frank Hindriks, and Prof. Naomi Ellemers as part of the Sustainable Cooperation (SCOOP) project. He holds a Research Master's degree in Behavioral Science from Radboud University and maintains office hours Monday through Friday in the Martinus J. Langeveld Building.

Ömer's research centers on the neural mechanisms underlying social behavior, with primary focus on morality, moral decision-making, and neural representations of social interactions including cooperation, conflict, trust, and fairness. Employing a multi-method approach integrating behavioral experiments, physiological measurements, and neuroimaging techniques, his work investigates how moral appeals influence individual behavioral change within sustainability contexts.
As a PhD candidate, he currently does not supervise students but contributes to academic governance through membership on the Faculty Open Science Team and ASPO Dissertation Committee. His research is fully funded by the Sustainable Cooperation (SCOOP) project.
