Jason A. Douglas is the Vice Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Health, Society, & Behavior at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Program in Public Health. His research focuses on environmental health disparities, community-based participatory action research, and health equity interventions in marginalized communities. PhD in Environmental Psychology from The Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) BA from Stony Brook University MA from CUNY Hunter College His work spans community organizing practices, geospatial health analysis, and policy-driven interventions addressing air pollution, urban heat risks, and recreational access inequities. Supported by state and federal funding, Douglas develops participatory methodologies like neighborhood mapping to examine systemic health disparities.
