Dr Elisabeth Bolorinos Allard holds a Lecturer position in Spanish Peninsular Studies at the University of Bristol , affiliated with the School of Modern Languages and the Department of Hispanic, Portuguese and Latin American Studies . She earned a PhD from Oxford University, alongside an MSc and a BA with High Honours. Education: PhD(Oxon), MSc, BA with High Honours Her research focuses on race , cultural lineage , and national identity in the Iberian Peninsula from the late 19th century to today, emphasizing Spain-Latin American cultures dialogue . Additional interests include colonialism , post-colonialism , nationalism , ethnicity , identity , Iberian Atlantic , visual culture , literature , Mediterranean Studies , Morocco , and Islam in Europe . Her work sits at the intersection of literature and visual culture , addressing transnational discourses on race and national identity across the Spain-Morocco axis and the Iberian Atlantic . She examines how colonial and post-colonial dynamics shape Mediterranean Studies and Islam in Europe . Dr Allard teaches courses on Spanish Peninsular Studies, with expertise in Hispanic and Latin American cultural intersections.
