Patrick Joseph Mason serves as Assistant Professor of Teaching and Program Coordinator for the Exercise and Sport Science program within the College of Education at Wayne State University. His office is located in Room #53 of the College of Education building, with appointments available by request. His educational background includes: Master of Science in Exercise Science from Oakland University, Rochester, MI Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Oakland University, Rochester, MI Dr. Mason's research focuses on Parkinson's Disease interventions, biomechanical postural analysis, and athletic performance optimization. His work bridges clinical rehabilitation with sports science, emphasizing evidence-based movement assessment and exercise prescription for diverse populations. Current investigations explore motor control adaptations in neurodegenerative conditions and performance metrics in athletic training. He teaches core courses including KIN3000 (Professional Perspectives in Kinesiology and Exercise Science) and KIN6320 (Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription) across multiple academic terms, with additional instruction in KIN3550 (Motor Learning and Control) during Winter 2023.
