Wei Liu

Wei Liu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Research Director of Rehabilitation, Integrative and Complementary Health (RICH) at VCOM, Auburn, where he leads research in biomechanics and physical therapy. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Rehabilitation Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and has held academic roles at the University of South Alabama and Walsh University.

He also investigates stroke rehabilitation, particularly compensatory arm reaching strategies and multi-joint coordination.

Recent research trends highlight his contributions to wearable sensor development for knee laxity assessment, ACL reconstruction techniques, and flexible electronics reliability in motion-attached applications.
