Prof. Erik Šoltés is a Professor at the Department of Statistics, Faculty of Economic Informatics, University of Economics in Bratislava. He holds a PhD in Quantitative Methods in Economics and has served as a Professor since 2021. His academic journey includes roles as an Assistant Professor (1998–2010) and Associate Professor (2010–2021). Education: Mgr. in Teaching of General Education (1998, Comenius University) and PhD in Statistics (2004, University of Economics in Bratislava). Research Interests: Focus on statistical methodologies applied to socio-economic issues, including poverty analysis, social exclusion, insurance risk modeling, and data science. He employs advanced statistical techniques like logistic regression, generalized linear models (GLM), and contrast analysis to study labor market dynamics, household work intensity, and regional disparities in the EU. His work frequently involves collaboration with institutions like the Czech Academy of Sciences and Springer Nature. Grants & Projects: Lead researcher in projects such as 'Impact of Inflation on Poverty and Social Exclusion in Slovakia and the EU' (2024–2026) and 'Application of Data Science in Labor Market Trend Analysis' (2023). Collaborates on EU-funded initiatives like the APVV-SRB logistics optimization project (2019–2021). Academic Roles: Former Deputy Dean for Science and Doctoral Studies (2015–2022), current Dean of the Faculty of Economic Informatics (2023–present).
