Wenceslao Garcia Puchades is a Professor at the Universitat de València's Faculty of Teacher Training, Department of Didactics of Physical Education and Body Expression. He is affiliated with the ABERTURA Group on Art-Based Educational Research & Participation through Culture and Arts, and the AFES Group on Physical Activity, Education, and Society. His research focuses on critical pedagogy, democratic education, and the intersection of art, political philosophy, and physical education. He holds a PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de València (2012), with a thesis on cinema in Alain Badiou's philosophical thought, supervised by Dr. Antonio Rivera García and Dr. Miguel Corella Lacasa. His academic work explores radical democracy, agonistic debates, gender studies in sports, and the use of arts in education. His recent publications analyze topics such as poetic thinking in sport research, transformative pedagogies through critical pretexts, gender dynamics in football, and SDG integration via drama education. Key research trends include the application of Badiou and Rancière's philosophies to educational practices, and the role of affective atmospheres in physical education.
