Associate Professor
Sarah Parks is Associate Professor of Music at St. Norbert College, where she directs choral programs and teaches music education. She holds degrees from St. Olaf College (BM), University of Wisconsin-Madison (MM), and University of Minnesota (PhD). Her ensembles have performed internationally including tours to South Africa and collaborations with artists ranging from John Rutter to Kenny Rogers. Professor Parks specializes in: Choral conducting and repertoire development Vocal instruction and aging voice research Curriculum design for music education Her professional background includes performance experience with the Minnesota Chorale and Minnesota Orchestra under conductors including Sir Neville Marriner. She has published research on vocal pedagogy for aging singers in the Choral Journal and presented at national conferences. Notable recognitions include: Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence 2015 Wisconsin State Teacher of the Year (ASTA) 2016 Herb Kohl Fellowship Award
