Blake Riley is an Associate Professor and Director of Collaborative Piano at the University of West Florida's Dr. Grier Williams School of Music. He teaches class piano, applied piano, and foreign language lyric diction. His performance career spans collaborations with leading opera houses (e.g., San Francisco Opera, Santa Fe Opera) and highlights such as performing for Spain's King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia. A former professional dancer, he danced in Broadway’s *Miss Saigon* and received accolades including recognition by Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
Education: Master's in Collaborative Piano from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), with studies at Mount Allison University and the University of Toronto. Professional engagements include work with Pensacola Opera, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, and the Pensacola Children’s Chorus. He directed University Madrigals and University Singers (2010–2015), fostering collaborations with local orchestras and theater groups.
His artistic philosophy emphasizes student-driven musical creation, blending pedagogical innovation with performance excellence. Riley’s interdisciplinary background bridges classical music, opera, and dance, reflecting a commitment to cross-disciplinary artistry.
