Scott Duke Kominers is the Sarofim-Rock Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School (HBS), with affiliations in the Harvard Department of Economics and the Harvard Center of Mathematical Sciences and Applications. He also serves as an a16z crypto Research Partner, co-leader of the Human Capital and Economic Opportunity (HCEO) working group, and advisor to companies like Quora and crypto projects like FINE Digital and Hungry Wolves. Holds a PhD in Business Economics (Harvard, 2011) and a dual AB in Mathematics and Ethnomusicology (Harvard, 2009). Former Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows (2013–2017) and Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Martin School (2016). His research focuses on market design, blockchain/Web3 technologies, and redistributive mechanisms. Notable contributions include work on NFTs, vaccine allocation frameworks, and refugee resettlement algorithms. He has authored over 100 academic papers and co-authored the book *The Everything Token* (2024). Awards include the Frank and Brennie Morgan Prize (2010), Star Family Prize (2016), and a Webby Award (2018) for the *Streetchange* project.
