Dr. Mark Doyle is a Professor in the Department of History at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He specializes in Modern Britain and Ireland, the British Empire, mass violence, urban history, and popular music's societal impact. Doyle earned his PhD from Boston University after attending Tulane University and Trinity College, Dublin. His research explores topics like communal violence in colonial contexts and multiracial histories. He has received awards including the Stansky Book Prize and MTSU’s Outstanding Teacher Award.
