Dr. Mahuya Pal is a Professor in the Department of Communication, specializing in organizational communication through global lenses. She serves as Editor of the Journal of International and Intercultural Communication and has held leadership roles such as former Chair of the Organizational Communication Division at the National Communication Association (NCA). Her work intersects with contemporary global issues including economy, culture, and environment. Former Chair, Organizational Communication Division, NCA Editor, Journal of International and Intercultural Communication Associate Editor, Journal of Applied Communication Research Editorial Board Member, Communication Monographs and Management Communication Quarterly Dr. Pal’s research explores postcolonial and decolonial approaches to organizational communication, focusing on marginalized communities, resistance movements, and corporate social responsibility. Her scholarship critiques neoliberalism and capitalism in global contexts. Recent publications examine topics like corporate wokeness, digital platform marginalization, and transnational feminist organizing. These works emphasize visibility regimes, subaltern resistance, and culture-centered interventions.
