Tamlyn Monson is a Research Fellow specializing in migration, urban inequality, and political mobilization. Her work examines issues of social justice, spatial power dynamics, and policy responses to displacement and xenophobia. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the London School of Economics (2015), alongside Master's degrees in Forced Migration (University of the Witwatersrand) and Applied Linguistics (Birkbeck).
Her research interests include established-newcomer relations, informal institutions, and the intersections of conflict, displacement, and urban marginalization.
